The overpowering emotion you get and dismiss as a mere sensation is your inner guiding system, which is just attempting to direct you along the correct route or away from danger. Negative emotions and dread often manifest themselves in bodily manifestations. Sweating, a beating heart, hostility, or a simple adrenaline surge are all possible symptoms. That fight or flight response that makes you want to flee and hide in order to escape being attacked by a dangerous creature. Regardless of your position, you may allow it to guide your judgments. Following your instincts leaves you feeling relieved; however, fear prevents you from taking advantage of opportunities.
All of your senses are participating in this experience. You could be at a networking event and after shaking someone's hand, you get the impression that you shouldn't put your faith in that person. You may be overcome with overwhelming emotions because you have a strong sense that something is wrong. Although there is no logical explanation, you can feel it all over your body.
Do you pay attention to your gut feelings?
Or do you choose to ignore it?
The other extreme is meeting someone and being overwhelmed by a sense of security. You simply get a feeling that everything is right. Here's the issue with our intuition: it's not always correct. It communicates with us in a variety of ways. Some can hear it, those who can see it, and those who can simply feel it intensely. Regardless of whether you are aware of it, your intuition is communicating to you.
